Is there anything I need to know about requesting items from the W. Eugene Smith archive?

The Smith archive is processed and easily accessible; however, the finding aid is not complete. This is particularly of note in terms of the the contact prints and work prints. For each assignment/project listed in the negatives section of the finding aid, there will be corresponding - but not listed - contact print and work print boxes. Here is the workaround:
Please send one request for each version of these items that you would like to see (i.e., negatives, contact sheets, and work prints)
If you would like to request the negatives, just request the boxes you're interested in from the finding aid.
If you would like to request contact prints and/or work prints, please request the corresponding negative boxes for the project(s) you're interested in, and specify in the Special Requests/Questions? field in Aeon that you would like to request the contact prints or work prints. If you would like to request both the contact prints and the work prints, please request the corresponding negative project box twice: once with a note that you'd like to request contact prints, and once with a note that you like to request work prints.
